Habit


We know, when we do something frequently and it starts capturing our mind, through and actions, habit is formed. Thus, habit is the outcome of our constant practice on any matter. Once the habit is formed, it is really very difficult to get rid of. Some habits benefit us while the others not. Those benefit us while the others not. Those beneficial habits are known as good habits and the ones’ that harm us are bad habits.
Good habits help us to build the positive attitude and increases self-confidence. Above all, they will make us a good person and successful if future. Habits like getting up early, studying in time, listening to others but talking less, punctual, working with plan, taking care of belonging etc. are the example of good habits. If we want to adopt good habits it’s not easy as they look. We need to be patient, determined and hardworking with tremendous will power ta achieve it. For we know that Rome was not built in one day. Likewise good habits cannot be achieved easily. Therefore people generally hesitate to form good habits whereas they are tempted with the bad ones.
Bad habit is the source of unhappiness, poverty, failure, bad health and disease. Smoking cigarettes, chewing tobacco, drinking alcohol, gambling, drug abusing etc. are the most dangerous habits of all. Those who are indulge in them, waste a lot of, money, property and their own health but also pollute the peaceful and healthy society.
People, who possess bad habits, generally indulge in illegal acts. In order to fulfill their need of habits, they dare to take any risks. Thus, they become robbers, thieves, smugglers, murders and bring endanger to innocent people of the societies.
To eliminate bad habits from the society is very difficult task. For it is an individual’s concern and interest but we could try not to let the buds dry before they bloom. Parents and elders should guide and encourage their children to form good habits and discourage them from bad ones.
